COMMITTEE REPORTS
Constitution: No Report
Strategic Planning: No Report
Nominations: Brian reported that there was an email received from Thunder Bay as to the absence of representation from that Region of the Province. Brian replied that if there was interest in having a Rep on the Board (which is always welcome) they should talk to a prior MSO Board member from that area Lorne McDougall. Chris has nothing to report.
Finance: Medals have been purchased for the Provincials and will be ready. Monies will be forwarded to MSC for our portion of fees.
MSC Rep: No Report
Communications/Publications: Secretary: No Report
Membership Liaison: No Report
Marketing: Ann reported on the IMAF (International Master Athlete Federation) meeting she attended on our behalf since swimming is one sport on the agenda for the winter games scheduled for February 2001 in Barrie and Orillia. The Federation is requesting our support and input .
Geoff is to follow up with Roy Smith about the MSO Pins he had designed and was selling.
Website: Barrie reports that things are still on-going. She does not have the club information updated and is hoping to get it from the Registrar soon.
Fitness: Brian reported that the April 2 Fitness Clinic to be held at Etobicoke is full. They have gotten extra pool time to divide the group in two.
Competition: Charlie reported that the Provincials are a go. All seems to be going smoothly. Registrations are moderate.
Rules: No Report
Officials: No Report
Statistics and Records: Sharon reported for Lesley that there are some Y2K problems that need to be sorted, so things are at a standstill at this point of time.
New Business: Both Sharon and Brian reported on information that has come from Swim Ontario. A copy of all sanctioned meets must be sent to Swim Ontario to be held in a binder on file. A list of all pools used by Masters Clubs must be listed with Swim Ontario.
All swimmers that swim with a Masters Club must be registered- whether the swimmer competes or not. All these items are due to the insurance company becoming more restrictive or more aware of all areas of Swim Ontario including Masters.
