Pursuant to the MSO bylaws, candidates must be registered members in good standing. This includes Members aged 18 or over, Unattached Members, and Honorary Life Members.
Directors serve a two-year term and, at a minimum, must:
The MSO Board is a working board supported where appropriate by volunteers who may be remunerated. Candidates with experience and organizational skills related to Masters swimming, including competition are encouraged to submit their candidacy. Good technical skills including knowledge of Word Press, Sharepoint and Office 365 would be an asset.
Interested candidates are encouraged to read the MSO by-laws to understand the role and responsibilities of being a Director on the board. Directors are required to act honestly, in good faith and in the best interests of the corporation.
This is a transition year for MSO and Masters Swimming in Ontario and a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the organization. We look forward to the submission of nominations which will be voted on at the AGM.
