Clubs General Information

MSO provides insurance coverage and administrative support to masters swimming in Ontario.

Starting a New Club

If you want to register a new club, print out and complete the Registration Form. Send it to the MSO Registrar with the annual club fee of $45.00.

Collecting Annual Swimmer Fees ($10.00):

Each club is responsible for appointing a club registrar who will collect all individual swimmer information and fees using an  online registration system Masters Registration Sign In.   Using the MSO system the club registrar will submit required information and submit fees using Paypal, cheques, money order or eTransfer.  The club registrar will print off an invoice and send this confirmation of payment to the MSO Registrar.  Club registrars should review the full club roster available to them from the MSO system.

Clubs or club registrars that have any questions about using the system can send email to the registrar MSOReg@mastersswimmingontario.ca

Renewing your club membership

Clubs that are renewing will be sent a renewal message to the existing club information email address on file.

Hosting a Swim Meet

Any club may apply to host a meet. Only an affiliated masters club can be sanctioned to host an event. If the host club works with an unaffiliated organization to host the event, that organization must be under the direction of the club receiving the sanction.  See the Meet Managers page for more details and Guides.

Eligibility

MSO meets are open to any swimmer.  Swimmers not registered with MSO are required to swim as Single-Event Registrants and pay an additional fee. This provides MSO insurance coverage.

Meet Safety

Please read and follow the MSC Warm-up/Warm-Down Procedures. Copy the text and insert/attach to your meet Package when submitting.

Reporting Meet Results and Records

Only MSO-registered swimmers are eligible for Ontario records.  However, all swim results are uploaded to the MSO database and considered by Christian Berger for the Top Canadian swims. The meet manager may use the record application form to submit potential records to the MSO Records Keeper within 15 days of the conclusion of the swim meet.

MSO will recognize the results of MSO-registered swimmers that come from well run meets sanctioned by other jurisdictions.  Please submit your results to the MSO Records Keeper, an official results printout and/or the website where the results can  be found.
